5 Photo Essay: My Life

Photography is my strongest passion in life. I love it because I capture a beautiful moment and keep it forever. I believe a camera can capture something the naked eye can't. Photography allows me to express what I feel about earth and the dazzling parts of life. Photos to me are precious memories, they signify what I am about, how I lived my life, how I will live it. When I take a photo and people tell me it's beautiful and amazing, it helps me look at it in a new and different way. Good reactions to my photos gives me the confidence to keep creating.

My affection for music is 30 Seconds to Mars. Their music sends a message saying do what is important to you, do what you believe in. Never give up on your dreams, our dreams are sometimes the only thing we have to look forward to. 30 Seconds to Mars embraces their passion for music and fans. Their music gives me inspiration to follow my dreams and to live my life to the fullest. They give me inspiration to experience and to be a true believer of my dreams. Each one of their stories of struggle helped them become who they are as people and as a band. If hadn't discovered this amazing band, I don't know what I would do.  They are true role models to me and friends of mine in a personal way. Traveling to Egypt was one of the most amazing experiences of my life, even if I didn't know it at the time. I saw things that most people will never see in their lifetime. Egypt is such a scary, beautiful, and different place than what I have ever  imagined. I saw and heard Arabic chanting and singing. Egyptian women dressed in a colorful hijab. I experienced the Cairo Museum and how papaya paper was made. I saw and touched the carved hieroglyphics on the temple's walls.  It was like being in another world, but still standing in the same world that we all live in. I want to be able to travel, experience more than what I'm used to. One of my life's goals is to see the world. Traveling to Egypt made me realized that America is very privileged and we should never take anything for granted.
I have grown up in a free world. Being able to be who you want to be, believe what you want to believe in. Right now I am in the prime of a transition from child to adult. It is time for me to be independent and to make my own way in life. I am ready to face the beauties as well as the difficulties life will play me with. Life, to me, is about always  growing up and finding your true self.  I belong here, on this earth and I will make my noise known and make my footsteps deep enough so they will never be filled and keep my path clear of weeds so it will never disappear.
Friends for life. We have a bond of shy but out going walks down the hallway. We have shared serious and funny conversations. We have introduced each other to new things: movies, music. We went through junior high together and high school together, sharing the same frustrations. Going to all the senior social events, always standing by one another. Best friends will always be there, no matter what. To have the occasional cry or the often laughs. These moments count in life, the simplest moments, but they leave a tremendous affect.

The Beach

-Here at the beach, the ocean consumes me.
-The beach brings beautiful sights.
-The ocean captures my memories, remember.
-The sea crashes on the shore, dragging me along with it.

-Wonderful waves wash away empty footprints.
-People leave their mark, but only for a second.
-The cold waves bite at my ankles like the chilly fall stings my cheeks.
-A fragile chill marks itself on me, a shiver strikes.

-The sun is a giant light bulb.
-Its flare dances on the surface, blinding my attention.
-The waves are liquid diamonds, twinkling like tiny stars.
-My dreams shine, flowing in from the sea.

-Sand represents pieces of the world,
-Tiny bits traveling worldwide, twirling in the seaweed lined currents.
-My future hums to me as I listen through a shell,
-A shell that is the voice of the sea.

Me and 30 STM

My favorite band of all time is 30 Seconds to Mars. They have songs that make you think about life. Their songs have uplifting music. Their music, the words are inspirational, they make you want to do good things in your life. One of my favorite songs is "Do or Die." The title is pretty self explanatory. Do something in your life that will truly make you shine. Live your life to the fullest, don't regret anything you do. One important message they "sing" about is always follow your dreams and your story will always go on. Do something that matters in your life, something so you can leave your own footprint behind. Believing in yourself , keeping your dreams alive is challenging, but it's worth it.

stay of of there! My privacy

We can keep the courage, even realize we are totally exposed, every time we go online (like now) we keep ourselves "known." For basic reasons , we need the Internet to do basic things. But everything we do is under close surveillance, the whole world could be watching us. Now that technology has advanced, the government or whoever is "spying" on us, can see who we just called, what song we just listened to, what we just looked up online, it's all available with the touch of a key board or a wondering thought.
